How to improve weighing accuracy

Time:7/6/2023 From:EACCOR

Electronic belt scale, also known as "electronic belt scale", is an accurate measurement system that continuously measures loose materials in a belt conveyor. The equipment components of the electronic belt scale determine its weighing accuracy. There are the following methods to improve the weighing accuracy of the electronic belt scale.

1. Load Cell
Select a linear weighing sensor and apply pre pressure to ensure that the sensor operates in the linear area.

2. Speed sensor
The speed sensor is a sensor without Edge effects. The photoelectric sensor is better and can prevent interference.

3. Scale frame
The scale frame of the electronic belt scale should be selected as much as possible, with a long and stable weighing section and a linear force transmission. During installation, it should be leveled as much as possible and cleaned frequently during use to avoid dust collection affecting changes in tare weight.

4. Carrier roller
Try to choose rollers with flexible rotation and small bounce, and ensure that each group of rollers is as uniform as possible.

5. Belt
The thickness and width of the electronic belt scale should be as uniform as possible, and metal joints should not be used as much as possible to reduce changes in tare weight.

6. Signal line
Shielded cables should be used for the signal circuits of the weighing sensor and speed sensor of the electronic belt scale to reduce interference.

7. Secondary instrument
Electronic belt scale instruments should use LED display or glow tube display instruments, as the LCD display brightness is not good and there may be problems when working at too low temperatures.

Supplement: Secondary instrument
The accuracy of electronic belt scales is not related to the choice of display for secondary instruments. It can be said that LCD display is the future development trend, and it is related to the actual A/D digits of the instrument. From the early 8-bit to the current 24-bit, the accuracy of the instrument has been greatly improved, reaching 0.01% accuracy. Currently, global power sources (80-265) are used internationally, which may not be possible in China.

At present, the internationally popular shielding method is to use bimetallic wire shielded cables, with few domestic manufacturers producing them. It is not a general shielded cable and has clear requirements for single ended grounding. This is the key.

The number of joints is generally not more than two according to international actual requirements. If there are more joints, the impact will increase.

For other sensors, the selection should be based on actual requirements, and the key is to use the environment and speed. Optoelectronics may not necessarily be good. For weight sensors, it is recommended to choose professional manufacturers of belt scale sensors. They will screen and combine the sensors in this regard.
